CloseWe recently executed a job on Queen's Island in Fox Lake, IL, and it wasn't just another day on the job for our crew. Icynene was incorporated into the design on the cabin in that there was no venting called for in the blueprints. The Architect/Owner specified Icynene insulation.
We bid for this project back in October, 2010 where Mike drove his boat out to the site to bid the job. On September 7th, we arrived with our rig to the marina where we were to be loaded onto a barge that was good for 10,000 lbs., however as we started to lower the rig onto the barge, the barge started to sink, it was not rated for 10,000 lbs. We offered several possible solutions, starting with calling other marina's in the area to see if we could get a larger barge. This took some time, as the season is windling down and we had to leave messages, then wait for calls back. We offered a dispensing machine option, but the cost was exorbinant, and even offered an unappealing but fair option to loose the work altogether and refer the job to another dealer who has a smaller portable rig. The owner was patient through this process and declined to use another dealer.

We ended up locating a barge company, with availability, reasonably priced in order to complete the project the following week. On September 15th, we arrived at the marina at 7am, loaded the rig, started it running so it would be warm by the time we arrived on the island, sprayed and completed the project in 1 day, in order to avoid the daily barge fee. Just more proof we are committed to you, our customer!
